Originally, I was going to do my photo story on Greek Week,
but since the due date of the photo story is September 15th, and
that is the day that Greek week starts, I had to pick a new event. So I went on my high point email and looked
at my weekly email from the campus concierge to see what fun events were
happening this week when I came across the build your own fish tank. My story is significant because it is an
event that gets people together to take part in an interesting, unique
affair. What will make the scope of my
story coverable in the space and time available, is the fact that it is a high
point event happening Wednesday night at 9pm in the Wanek Center and it will be
done well before the due date of the assignment so I can have a large amount of
time to edit and photo shop my pictures if necessary, therefore the event will
be scheduled so that I can complete it in a reasonable time. Considering I have never attended a build
your own fish tank event before, I am not entirely sure what will be involved
or the visual components of my story, so those are yet to come. If I cannot get enough relevant and useful
photos from the build your own fish tank event (can’t get an interaction shot,
can’t get a closer shot), I will try my best to utilize photo shop, and if that
still fails, I will resort to starting on a new photo story topic. Unfortunately, I think that I will really
have to prepare for this event and plan out my photos before showing up to the
event, because I will not be able to return for additional shooting. I will have to take a tremendous amount of
photos to cover all of my bases. I don’t
believe I will run into any technical problems, for I will most likely be using
my phone to take these pictures.
